Hi, dear greetings to the EmuELEC dev team especially to Joshua aka Langerz82. I have some questions to you and I hope maybe someone could help me for my three questions. Sorry in advance for my bad english, I will give my best to make clear what’s my points are.

I seperated my system folders under roms section in the same way like for nes/nesh or snes/snesh to seperate the default games and hacks of n64/n64h. And for n64/n64h it works fine. I just had to modified my using theme, of course the es_systems.cfg and had to add the corresponding new system folder on the eeroms partition. Then I tried to do the same methode to the system folder of gamecube/gamecubeh. Now comes my problem, because unlike with n64/n64h, in the case of gamecube/gamecubeh the games in the gamecubeh folder cannot be launched. I am always been kicked out after a second without any error message. Unfortunately, in my opinion the emuelec.log file doesn’t really give much indication what the reason might be. The only thing that makes sense to me is that it has something to do with the n64 running on Retroarch and gamecube running on Dolphin standalone and for some reason Dolphin standalone can’t launch the games from the gamecubeh folder. Maybe/hopefully there’s a way to fix this.

I recently came across a nice fan game (super mario & the rainbow stars) and this is actually a Win app. However, the dev states that it should also run on Linux and as far as I know, EmuELEC is based on Linux. The dev stated that Wine (or something else what can run Win Apps on Linux) would be required for this. Now I read in the EmuELEC 4.3 changelog that a package with ‘Box64, Box86’ has been implemented. But maybe it is still WIP because it also said ‘(for future use)’. Now to my question: Is the said feature ‘Box64, Box86’ already available and is it perhaps possible to get Wine to work on EmuELEC via setup → terminal? The said fan game, for example, comes with an ‘install-for-old-wine.sh’ script file. But maybe it was just wishful thinking and it is basically not possible to get the game run on EmuELEC (currently using 4.6). As usual, I hope maybe you can help me.

Now for the last point: This is aimed specifically at Joshua aka Langerz82. I spent a while at EmuELEC with Dolphin and trying to tweak around with the settings. Yes, admittedly I don’t have the weakest device (s922x) and yes, it still doesn’t run at full speed, as it should be. And I have actually read that Linux and Amlogic devices are limiting factors. But I think the tweaks are not so bad. Now for the last point, I wanted to ask whether Langerz82 might have the time to take a look at these settings. Maybe it’s worth to take a look at.
Greetings albirdie.
