tried with version 4.7 - 4.3 - 3.9 with no success

Could be a corrupted sd card or a bad flash. Try reflashing it with " Raspberry Pi Imager", found here: https://www.raspberrypi.com/software/

I tried with 2 different sd cards, one microdrive 64gb and the other lexar 64gb, flashing with Rufus and I get those errors.

I tried with the original firmware and with slimbox, but I don’t think it makes any difference.

Try it with Raspberry Pi imager, etcher is not always flashing the images right in my experience. Also don’t just pull the sd card out after flashing, eject it via software first, otherwise corruption can also happen that way.

it did not work with the Raspberry Pi imager program, when it tries to boot emuelec it gets stuck in the slimbox logo.

Which dtb.img are you using?
In some other topic here on discourse, using sm1_s905x3_4g is mentioned…

I have the Tanix X4 4gb + 64gb
I have tried with these two files
sc2_s905x4_4g
sc2_s905x4_4g_1gbit
I was able to install slimbox but still can’t with emuelec :frowning:

I solved it, the problem was solved when I used a usb adapter for micro sd card, then emuelec ran, but when I inserted the micro sd card into the card reader of the tanix x4 did not run well, it worked with this file sc2_s905x4_4g, I appreciate your help, thank you very much bro.

So it was an issue from which device / port your system is able to boot…
Happy for you that you found a solution. Have fun retrogaming!

Hello. Thanks for posting your information about booting Emuelec on the x4 chip. Question: Does the Tanix X4 have Gigabit Ethernet?

tanix x4 have has Gigabit Ethernet

thanks for your reply. i asked the question because i am interested in installing Emuelec or maybe Armbian on the box and transferring large files in multiple GB of size via ethernet and i want it to be as fast as possible. i checked a few listings of this tv box (s905x4) on Aliexpress and all listings reported only 100 Mbit. I guess you got the special limited edition of the box.

I recommend the vontar x4 (s905x4).
